Draw burns & enter weight
NBCG · ISBI · Parkland
Adults: 4mL/kg/%TBSA Hartmann's
(ATLS 10e: 2mL/kg adult, 3 child,
4 electrical; titrate to UO).
Paediatric: 3mL/kg/%TBSA + maint.
½ in 8h · ½ in 16h FROM BURN.
Target UO 0.5–1mL/kg/h adult;
1–1.5mL/kg/h child.
Colloid from 12h if UO poor.
IV fluids: ≥15% adult, ≥10% child.
Refer burns service: ≥3% adult,
≥2% child; face/hands/feet/
perineum, circumferential,
inhalation, chemical/electrical.
